Michelle Elquest
Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator

Based in Waddell, Arizona, Michelle is a lifelong equestrian. Her first horse arrived when she was 3 years old. "Gypsy" was a pony, who had zero interest in being a child's horse. Michelle's parents would saddle Gypsy and set Michelle on and let her ride. However, Gypsy would walk Michelle under a heavily leaved tree branch and just stand. No amount of leg movement or crying from a 3 year old could get that pony going. Luckily, Gypsy went off to a new home and after a bit was replaced with a patient Shetland Pony named "Lady."
Michelle's passion for horses continues today. She will share her love of horses with just about anyone willing to listen. Utilizing her years of riding experience and teaching lessons, she has been able to combine her passion for horses with her love to help others in their personal growth.
Michelle studied with internationally recognized author, leading expert, experiential psychotherapist and transformational coach Leif Hallberg. Sessions are based on Leif’s Embodied Awareness in ActionTM model. In addition, she is a mom of three, holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington, worked for the Department of Veteran's Affairs for 12 years and has been a business owner with her husband for over 20 years.
Michelle feels truly lucky to be able to share her passion for horses. Working with the horses and people creates a comfortable setting allowing people to show up authentically. We invite you to join us to see the calming power of being in the presence of horses.
